First we use a discovery process to reveal what the objective and content of
your site will be, then once there is clear understanding of the site, the
design process can begin. Show sites you like to the designer so they can be
inspired by what you already like.
What is a domain name?
A domain name, or URL, is your web address: (example) www.ScottBendure.com.
You can purchase a domain name from many companies, Scott can help you. You
will pay yearly for this name.
What is hosting?
Web hosting is a service that stores and serves your files on a server so
that they can be seen by people on the internet.
What is FTP?
FTP is used to upload your files to your server, hosting company. Your
hosting company provides you a user name and password to upload files to the
server.
What are Search Engines?
Search Engines are internet sites such as Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves and MSN.
You must submit your site to these search engines in order for your site to
be seen by anyone searching for a service. Most search engines offer free
listings and high profile listings for a fee. Scott will enter your site to

This is the process of adding keywords to specific areas of the HTML code to
increase your site ranking with search engines.
